Capitals Sign Chris Bourque
By Sky Kerstein
The Capitals announced they’ve signed left wing Chris Bourque today. Bourque, who is only 25, played in the Swiss-A league and the KHL last season. In 39 games in the Swiss-A league Bourque had 14 goals and 19 assists. In eight KHL games Bourque had one goal. Bourque, who is the son of NHL Hall of Famer Ray Bourque, has played in 33 NHL games with one goal and three assists.
Bourque was drafted 33rd overall by the Capitals in 2004 and has won three Calder Cups with AHL Hershey and in 2010 won the Jack A Butterfield Trophy as the playoff MVP. In 2009-2010 Bourque was a final day cut by the Capitals after initially thinking he made the team and signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the Penguins, Bourque played in 20 games and only had three assists.
After Pittsburgh cut him, the Caps re-signed him and he played in 49 games for the Bears and one for the Capitals. The Capitals retained his rights after he decided to play in Europe last season.

Re: Chris Bourque
Good luck chris!!
